I'm sorry to be making an entire journal to address this, but it's honestly starting to bug me a little bit. 
For like the past month, DA has been doing this thing where every time I upload a pic that's saved as a png file, it converts it to a jpeg instead. I've noticed this is only happening to pics that have full backgrounds though (i.e. pics that aren't transparent) Is this happening to anyone else? I know it's not really that big an issue, but jpegs are a little lower in quality than pngs and like I said, it does bug me a little bit. I was just wondering if there's maybe a way to fix this.

So I was just given a core membership as a gift from my good friend
Requiem. Mega shout out to him for this, it was really awesome of him!
I've been wanting to change my username for like....a really long time now. Mostly because my old one was just a liiittle bland, and since I usually go by Warrior Kitty on my online accounts, I just figured it'd makes sense.
There's probably gonna be some other things that I'll be adding now that I have a core membership, but this was the one announcement that I wanted to make. Sooo, that'll be it for now! I'll catch you guys later!

Smash Bros Ultimate and fan fic updates!

Heyo everyone! I return with some updates on what I have planned for my Smash Bros fics since the final Smash Bros direct streamed this morning! 
To get a small bit of news out of the way, I'm not gonna be using FanFiction.net for a while. The reason for this is because there had apparently been a virus going around on the website, which you can find out more info about it here: warrior-kitty.tumblr.com/post/…
Since anything involving viruses, or any sort of technological threat makes me really paranoid, I decided to just log myself out of my account and avoid the website until it's all cleared up. I do have an Archive of our Own account though, so when I do get around to writing my fics again and the virus issue still isn't clear then that's where I'll be posting my fics!
Now on to actual fan fic news!
As we all know, the Smash Bros direct revealed to new adventure mode, World of Light!
Which by the looks of things, involve all of the Smashers, except Kirby, all having their spirits taken away by a new unknown enemy and it's up to Kirby to fight corrupt versions of them in order to save them and get all of the spirits back! Sounds fun, right?
So with this in mind, I will make plans to make a novelization of the adventure mode in the "Beyond The Smashverse" fan fics. Of course, that won't be until waaaaaay into the future until I A) Play and complete World of Light once the game comes out, and B) Finish the "Into The Smashverse" stories first. Speaking of which, this segways into the next update I want to share.
I am actually planning on holding off writing the fics until Ultimate comes out, or at least I will write "Time To Pretend" and "Let The Brawl Begin" but hold out on writing "The Subspace Emissary" and beyond. In which hopefully I would have played and completed World of Light when I eventually get to that point....
But why, you may ask? That's because recently I've been thinking a lot about the Smash Rescuers stories and how I want to tie them in with the rest of this Smash Bros world in my fan fics. It's honestly no surprise that there are tons of ridiculous things in the Smash Rescuers stories and some plot holes that can't really be explained. For example, Sara transporting herself into the Nintendo world at the beginning of the first story. How was she able to do that? You can't really answer that with "because she made herself an overpowered Mary Sue" because she transported herself into the virtual world from the real world and in the real world she's only a regular person with no powers at all because, well it's the real world! So how did she get there in the first place??
This was something that I've noticed actually about a year or two back and I had no idea how to address it in the rewrite and it honestly kinda bothers me. So I've decided to just completely remake the script! Change everything! I know Smash Rescuers is mostly based off of "Mishonh from God" but screw it! Now I'm going to try and find a way to make it at least a bit more plausible in my Smashverse world.

Perhaps the whole subspace catastrophe created some sort of dimensional anomaly that spanned through the virtual world and the reality world. This anomaly caused various people from the real world who all shared certain qualities to have their conscientiousness/spirits transported to the virtual world, sort of the same concept that I had in the original "Fallen Revenge" where due to the combined worlds, certain people in from the real world to turn into Pokémon. Except, y'know, I'm going to try to put more thought into it and make it make more sense.
I was thinking that maybe this could be how Sara, Josh, Lauren, Mr. Johnson, and hell even Ebony, got to the Nintendo worlds in the first place and since she's a being from the real world, Sara's powers of imagination allowed her to be pretty much op and she just got very, very carried away, thus begins the story! This could also be how the Smash Rescuers end up in the Nintendo Worlds as well and they just get roped in to the nonsense. So in a sense, I'm going to try to make this a little less like a "chosen one" type self-insert story.
Of course this is a very recent idea so I definitely want to think about it and plan it more thoroughly and I actually do have some plans on sharing more info about this idea at some point in the future.
Soooo, yeah. Now because of all of this I want to hold off on writing most of the fics until Smash Ultimate is out so I can play through the adventure mode, see what lore bits it has to offer, and then try to apply it to my story ideas that I have planned.

Smash Bros fan fics - some updates!

Hey guys! Warrior Kitty here! I'm slowly starting to claw my way out of a recent motivation block, but in regards to Smash Bros fics, I've been thinking about a few things that I'm now going to share with you all! So buckle up! 
The first thing I'd like to share is that I made some changes to the "Into The Smashverse" timeline by removing some stories as well as renaming a few! Here's the updated timeline so you guys can see!
Now to get the smaller things out of the way, the stories that I have renamed are "Enigma" and "Nintendo Power" which are the rewrites of "Feelings from the Shadows" and "The Smash Mansion Observer." There's really nothing else here to say about these stories, but however these are only two of the stories that were renamed. There are two more that I have changed but I won't get to them juuust yet....
If you were to look back at some of my previous posts of the timeline, you can see that I have indeed removed some more stories. The stories that I took away are "The Super Smash Bowl," "All's Fair In Love And Migraines," "Warriors of Wonder," "Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice," "SSB at the Olympic Games," and "Spell Gone Wrong."
I do have a reason timeline-wise for why I removed some of these stories, but in the case of "The Super Smash Bowl," "SSB at the Olympic Games," and "Spell Gone Wrong," it's simply because I just kind of lost interest in eventually making those stories. For the others though, "All's Fair In Love And Migraines" was actually one of the other renamed stories, which it's now "Every Penny Counts." I decided to move that one to the end of the timeline because I felt it would fit the events of the stories in the timeline better.
To elaborate a little more, after the Smash Rescuers trilogy, it kind of leaves all of Smashville in a state of ruins; various buildings, as well as the Smash Mansion, are destroyed and it leaves a lot of citizens and the Smashers temporarily homeless and with limited resources. "Every Penny Counts" is supposed to act as the aftermath story of the Smash Rescuers trilogy where the Smashers have to figure out various ways to raise funds so they can repair the Mansion and rebuild Smashville. Again, I felt like this arrangement fit better timeline-wise with having the final Smash Rescuers story be the final big story with "Every Penny Counts" act as the conclusion that will allow the Smashers to repair what had been destroyed and have everything start anew, just in time for a fifth tournament...
Now that I have explained that, this segues into the other removed stories "Warriors of Wonder" and "Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice." These two stories are not scraped, for I just decided to move them to the "Beyond The Smashverse" timeline instead.
I guess to share a bit of info about these stories, "Warriors of Wonder" is going to be about the young Smashers having to stay inside during a storm and they begin to make up their own imaginary adventure to pass the time. "Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice" is going to be about Peach suggesting that all of the female Smashers go out into Smashville to have a girl's night out, which leads to everything going horribly wrong and creating tons of shenanigans.
Again, timeline-wise I felt like these two would work better in the second timeline, especially since we'll be getting newcomers in the next Smash game to which I could include in these stories when I get around to writing them.
Now finally, we're moving on to the final update and the one that I definitely would like to share the most....

were originally supposed to be a part of "Gates of Space-Time" since I don't have plans for them in the main Trilogy due to there being too many characters to cover. Since "Threads of Reality" is now going to be the final story in the trilogy, what would happen to them?
Well not to worry, for they will not be scraped! In fact, I've decided to bring back "Life With The Authors" as a new rewritten AU instead, which means Dark, Aura, and Ninja will still get their moment to shine!
Again, this is something that I have decided only recently, so I don't have much ideas for a "Life With The Authors" rewrite as of now. However, I do plan for it to not really be a bunch of different chapters with their own random plots like the original, but maybe make it have a bit of an over-arching plot as a whole. Again, I don't know what kind of plot it will have as of now, but I'll try to see what I can come up with in the future!

Completely scrapping Life with the Authors?!?!Hey guys! Warrior Kitty here with another journal on some important info on the upcoming "Smash Rescuers" rewritten series!waaay back in 2015 that talked about scrapping "Life With The Authors" and introduced a possible plot for the third Smash Rescuers story. Then last year, I came up with an idea for a Smash Rescuers AU, "Gates of Space-Time" which was supposed to be an unofficial conclusion to the original "Fallen Revenge." Weellll as of the past few months, I found myself really liking the plot of "Gates of Space-Time" more than the plot idea I came up with for the third main Smash Rescuers story. Not only that, but I started having difficulty with coming up with ideas for the third story's plot that I liked. So as of recently, I've decided to just scrap the original idea plot idea and make the plot of "Gates of Space-Time" the third story in the main Smash Rescuers trilogy and rename it to "Threads of Reality."
Now first, I just wanna get this little bit of very small info out. I posted a status update a few days ago, saying that I will be starting the series either later in June or some time in July. Weeeellll, due to me still being in the planning stages and with a huge, new idea coming to me, the new series will be coming out in July.
Now that that's been said, let's get into what this journal is really about....

Hey guys! Warrior Kitty here with another Smash Bros headcanon journal! :bademoticon: I haven't posted another one of these in a while, so I figured that I could hop back on it!
Now I've mentioned in the last headcanon journal that I changed up the arrangement of the Smash Mansion's property and how new rooming buildings were added for the Melee and Brawl tournaments. Welp, this journal is going to be listing the rooming arrangements at the Smash Mansion! I'm thinking on making a separate journal sometime later that lists the rooming arrangements at the Assist Hotel, since it would take a while to type out this journal and I'm admittedly kinda lazy right now... (._.) But other than that, let's dive on in!
Now I've mentioned in the last headcanon journal that I changed up the arrangement of the Smash Mansion's property and how new rooming buildings were added for the Melee and Brawl tournaments. For the first three tournaments, all of the Smashers practically had their own rooms since there was enough space. The only exceptions to this was that Luigi roomed with Mario in the Mansion, because they were brothers, and Pichu roomed with Pikachu when she joined the Melee tournament for...pretty much the same reason; they were siblings. and maybe because Pikachu wanted to keep a careful eye on her since it was her first time being away from the Pokemon regions. The final exception is that Diddy Kong roomed with Donkey Kong because not only are they buddies, but their practically family to each other as well.
Then of course, it wasn't until the 4th Smash tournament rolled around that the newcomers had to room with some of the veteran Smashers in the other buildings. This was for a few reasons: One, there was just so much newcomers that were invited to join the 4th tournament that it was absolutely ridiculous. Two, events that have happened in the rebooted fics, especially "The Smash Rescuers," greatly impacted the Mansion's funds and they couldn't really afford constructing another rooming building. Three, even if they could construct another building, the Mansion's property simply didn't have enough space. The only way they could was if they rearranged the property and expanded by clearing some of the trees from the forest surrounding the outer parts of the property, but again, they probably wouldn't have had the time nor the money. Soooo....yeah.
Alright! Now that that bit of exposition is out of the way, let's finally get into the list of the rooming arrangements at the Smash Mansion!

If you guys think you have a much up that works better, feel free to tell me! I wouldn't mind making changes! There's two thing I wanna point out real quick with the arrangements, and that's Corrin and some of the third party Smashers. I've decided to have the female Corrin be the one to appear in my fics, which is why I have her roomed with Peach and Rosalina. With the third party Smashers, I've mentioned also in the last headcanon journal that I thought about having all of the third parties share a room, thus making it very crowded. Well now that I made the list of the rooming arrangements and looked at it, I saw that there were still some space with the other Smashers that could still fit some more people, so I decided to have Cloud, Ryu, and Bayonetta just simply room with some of the other veterans rather than just cram them with the third parties in a single room. It just made more sense.
And that's it for the Smash Mansion rooming arrangements! Like mentioned, I'm planning on having a separate journal listing the Assist Hotel rooming arrangements in the near future, but for now I hope you guys liked this headcanon! I'll be seeing you all later!
